Punjab Worldbuilding
While I was building the world for my own novel set in Punjab, I kept hitting a wall again and again. I couldn’t find a single reliable place to find plants, animals, dresses, food, traditions, customs, and beliefs, accurately set in Punjab, that could bring a story to life.
The Punjab is a land that can’t be summed up in a handful of stories. It’s a melting pot of natives and nations that poured in from all side over thousands of years, and stayed here, along with their unique senses and sensibilities, traditions, languages, cultures, and beliefs. They married here and buried here, into this very soil.
What has reached us is a rich and complex versa, a legacy no book, not even AI, can encompass. This series is what I started building to close that gap myself, one reference guide at a time.
